PRICING
You set the price! Price to sell keeping in mind quality, name brand and condition of your items.
Normally 60-80% of retail is a good general figure to go by when pricing your items. Remember shoppers are coming to the sale to look for great deals.
Ask yourself "What would I pay?" Remember the money in your pocket is better than over-stuffed closets so price to sell.
Our most successful consignors let their clothing be included in the half-price sale (which is Friday and Saturday). IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR ITEM TO BE 1/2 PRICE ON THESE DAYS WRITE YOUR TICKET IN ANY COLOR BUT RED. TICKETS WRITTEN IN RED WILL NOT GO 1/2 PRICE.
Price your items in $1.00 increments. Minimum price of items $1.00.
GARMENT PREPARATION
Remember this is our Spring and Summer sale. No Winter or Fall items.
Hang all your clothing on hangers.
Summer pants, shorts & jeans show best on pants hangers but they may also folded and hung over the hanger as well.
Decide on a price and create your tags. We do not have online tagging. See left for a sample tag.
Safety pin your tags to clothing on the front right or inside tag. No straight pins.
Suits are accepted however there is a limit of 2 suits per person.
Non-acceptable items include undergarments/panties, socks, sleepwear and nightgowns, and formal wear. Bathing suits must be new with tags. Any items that smell of smoke or have pet hair will not be placed on the sales floor.
LOOSE ITEMS AND ACCESSORIES
Acceptable items include handbags, belts, hats, jewelry, sunglasses and accessories.
These items sell well especially handbags. Also make-up bags and glasses cases.
We have found that jewelry in zip lock bags doesn't sell as well. We suggest using a piece of ribbon to tie the price tag on your item.
We display the jewelry flat on tables or on jewelry display racks.
SHOES
Shoes may be in original boxes if you have them.
Shoes will be placed on tables at the sale by size.
Only Spring & Summer shoes at this sale. Maximum of 5 pair of shoes.
Label and tape the tags on the bottom of one of the shoes.
Shoes sell but only those that are in very good to new condition.
